Veneers are next in line, but cost a lot more although they are really effective and again instant. Lumineer’s are great to have and these will cover a lot of teeth defects, from a cracked or chipped tooth to a discoloured and even a misaligned tooth in some cases. They are like contact lenses in their simplicity and fitting easiness. Having a lip they will easily slip over your teeth and are then fixed in place with dental glue and a special light to cure it dry. You can have one or many teeth fixed at the same time, and the procedure is very quick. These are quite thin, although they are very effective. The next type of veneer fitted by a dentist is a slightly thicker one, this is fixed in place with a type of cement, but the tooth needs to be shaved lightly to make a good adhesion and to allow the veneer to be embedded into the depth of the tooth. They last from 3-15 years and are easily replaceable when worn out.
