From the bungee to the root canal

Not so long ago I decided to explore bungee jumping. Well, as unbelievable as this is going to sound, it’s true, but during the jump the cord from my jacket flew into my mouth with force and pulled my tooth out.

For days, I left it because I am afraid of going to the dentist, and what do I say: “I pulled it out in a bungee jump?!” After a month passed, the missing tooth site started to feel sore, so I contacted my dentist in Dublin only to hear a message that the practice was sold. Then I remembered that I did hear something about my dentist putting up his guide to buying dental practices.

Eventually, I found another dentist to examine my mouth. He said a bit of infection had taken hold where the missing tooth used to be and I had to have cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/articles/root-canal.html treatment. Can you believe that? From a bungee jump to a root canal. I agreed to have the treatment and we scheduled another appointment for me.

After the root canal treatment, I could choose between a dental implant or a crown. I wasn’t sure on the difference really, but the dentist said that it boiled down to the same thing – an artificial tooth. When I got home, I picked up my jacket that I wore during the jump. Instead of the little bead on the end of the chord, there dangling, was my tooth.
